The 2010 Fall Golf Outing will be at the Blacksburg Country Club.
11:30 a.m. - Registration and Lunch
1 p.m. - Tee Time (driving range is open)

$75 per person
(4 Mulligans per team available for $20 total, may pay at registration)

2010 Spring Golf Outing on Friday, April 30

The 2009 Fall Golf Outing was at the Auburn Hills Golf Course. The driving range opened at 12 p.m. and Tee Time was at 1 p.m. Afterwards, at 6 p.m., there was a dinner and an awards ceremony. Monday, April 12, 2010 Education Event: Tour of the Lumenhaus

NRVHBA members had a special opportunity to learn about and tour Virginia Tech’s Lumenhaus, a uniquely designed, built, and operated solar-powered home created by the inter-disciplinary Virginia Tech Solar Decathlon team. The team received $100,000 funding from the Department of Energy to participate. Each of the 20 university teams’ homes competing in the Solar Decathlon utilized energy-efficient technology and demonstrated that homes powered entirely by the sun do not have to sacrifice modern comforts and aesthetics. Tech’s house will be moving on to compete in the international solar decathlon in Madrid, Spain, in June. To learn more about the project, visit www.lumenhaus.com.
